I went to Radio Shack and played with one of these camera/binocs and there is a very definite focus function--the camera apparently "looks" through the 8X (400mm) binoc. The exposure is auto but I didn't see any specs on shutter speed. I agree with the AAA batt thing. Maybe they'll let me look through the manual. Hal
