Yes, Bill. The Janets change their callsign in mid-flight! One of these days someone should inquire with FAA if that is legal.... E.g. Janet 210 becomes Maple 25 one day, and Racer 25 the next etc. The "groom name" changes from day to day, but is the same for all flights on a given day. Anyway, the callsign changes when the plane is handed off from Nellis Control to Groom Approach (and vice versa). The same Janet # always becomes the same alternate #, but with a different name. I have heard "Maple", "Racer", "Colt" and a few others.
