Underground - Proven...?

If you take a look at the first of the new panoramic photos posted, pay close attention to the basically 'L' shaped building at the far left. In the shadows on the right side of the building you can see (barely0 a ventelation installation that pulls air from above, funnels it into the building...

Now, this installation is similar to those installed in mines, as the one shown also has a DOWNWARD leading vent, indicating that thsi air is either being 'pumped' in or out of an underground chamber.

I, personally, can see two possible reasons for such an installation. the first, of course, is to provide air to an underground installation - based on reasearch, this type of single installation could ventalate a complex with roughly the same internal voulme of, say, the Astrodome, or one about a thrid of the size if the air is also being climate-controlled, which would probably be the case.

Of course, the second reason for such an installation is an underground fuel storage tank, in which the fumes need to be safely removed...

Any comments, correction, statement? (Yes, you're allowed to say something mysterious at this point, Mr. Dawg....*Grin*)
