They were brave boys indeed and certainly had my admiration! The EB-66s went all the way in with the package (usually F-105 THUDs!) as they bombed straight and level from high enough to not be susceptible to small arms fire and 'manpads', but still within SA-2 range!

In contrast, I believe the (E)B-52 would probably stand off and focus its jamming on specific frequencies to which the 117 is vulnerable, rather than go 'down town' with the stealths and try to jam all known bands.
