Has anyone ever heard/overheard mention of a Project
"NERVA" aledgely tested at the TTR in the late 80's to
very early 90's? It was a Nuclear powered Rocket Motor,
very different from Project Pluto, this Motor was fired verticly. The source of my question comes from
the Discovery Wings channels program on Martian Mission
improved Rocket Motors. The short film clip showed the Motor being fired verticly, a brignt blue exhaust fire,
and NO! smoke plume. The Reactors heat was used to superheat the fuel used for Reaction Mass, increasing
its "fuel mileage" by 50%.
