On the first flight log, Skip Anderson signed "T/D" under his name. SO I guess that stands for "Test Director". I should have asked him why his Bandit number is "84" when I met him.

According to Crickmore's 117 book:
"Lt. Col. Skip Anderson joined the Senior Trend program as joint test force director, reporting in parallel to Col. Pete Winters, commandet of the AFFTC detachment-Det. 5 @ Area 51, and Col. Don Merkl, program manager at the SPO. (Merkl retired in 81 and was replaced by Col. Richard Schofield.)"

There may be more info where Crickmore got this from, the ANSR AIAA F-117/Have Blue Book.
