If you like a visit by the cammos at night try Campfire Hill, near the old trail to White Sides. It is about 2 miles before the gates, on the right of GL Rd. You'll see a road leading up as you drive down GL Rd. I prefer the gravel area by the Hwy at LN32.3. It has a better view of the Groom airspace than the Mailbox area, and there is plenty of room, even for several RVs or trailers. A great hidden spot for tent or car camping is near LN31.7. Look for a small dirt road leading south towards a low hill. It leads around the hill to a hidden small camp spot. However, the view towards Groom is partially obstructed by another hill. Temps have been picking up here the last week, but it still gets chilly at night. During the day you will need the A/C.
