The USA ARE thinking of replacing the C-135 series. They've just signed up for 110 Boeing 767 tankers to replace the oldest airframes, and there will no doubt be a follow-on aircraft in 8-10 years to replace the rest of the fleet. I'm sure there will be modified variants of that platform or another that will become Joint-STARS, E-6, E-3 and NKC-135 replacements also. Magoo
