Hello to all. I've been perusing and reading this page for years. I'm glad you all have created such a great community here. I am looking to take a tour of the NNSS in March of next year, and I'd like to make the most out of my time in the area. I have a few ideas of what I would like to do, but have not made any hard decisions yet. In order to keep this message brief, I'll put down the main points.

-1 day of plane spotting for Red Flag
-1-2 days on Brainwash Butte to observe TTR
-Not interested in Groom Lake road perimeter or Back Gate
-Possibly a hike up Tikaboo or Reveille Peak. I have backpacking/outdoor experience. Very aware of hydration and clothing layering concerns.

I've already read through the FAQ's, driving and visiting tips, and a few trip reports. What would be a good source to rent a 4WD vehicle? Are there worthy alternatives to the main rental companies?

Anything else I should consider while I'm there? Any help here would be appreciated.
