Tikaboo Peak is in Desert MOA. Military Operating Areas are not restricted airspace but extreme caution is required when they are active. Desert MOA is active sunrise to sunset Monday thru Saturday. So you can fly your drone anytime up to 400 feet above ground level (AGL). And you “should” be totally clear on Sunday, however, I would still use caution as who can say what our favorite base is up to and when.

Now the Lincoln Country Sheriff may have a different view as to their local ordinance regarding drones (and do their laws trump Federal law)? I don’t know and I doubt they know either. Last year I faxed a letter requesting the exact local laws regarding drones and no surprise I received no response. How do you know if you are in violation if they won’t tell you or post the information?
