Exactly. The shale is a bit tricky to navigate but not to bad going up. My wife thought coming down was easier. I did not! I would have liked to camp and stay the night. I bet the lights are amazing up there. I saw a old sleeping bag and a fire ring just down from the peak. I thought somebody was dead at first. Kind of caught me off guard. Wished I lived closer because I would hike that more often. Good luck!
