Hello, Russ:

The of the attack bomber, A-11, is Astra. The recce aircraft that supposedly has replaced the SR-71 is called Sentinel. The name Aurora was an umbrella code
name for most early stealth/black aircraft programs.
The original Low Observable office in the Pentagon was inside a secure room within the NRO office. Hence, when the name "Aurora" leaked out in early 1985, under the heading "Air Breathing Airborne Reconnaissance" most media types speculated that it was for one particular type of aircraft. In fact, Aurora was the code name of early stealth program overall in general, and not just simply for the funds for the ATB/B-2 competition.
