As I understood the evolution, Snow Bird evolved out of Brilliant Buzzard (although I don't think BB was the correct moniker). The twin vertical stabilizers slant inward. I first became aware of this mod upon seeing a scale model at the RCS range at China Lake. As I indicated, desert humor had this not a black project because it was white-colored, due to the white thermal tiles.

Snow Bird was briefly mentioned in a Federation of American Scientists report a couple of years ago---www.fas.org. Later when I recently looked for the report, I couldn't find it.

A bigger stealth could result in longer legs (range) or extra room to carry a larger weapon or a larger quantity of the 'usual' munitions. I wasn't involved in the testing of this aircraft; perhaps a FA-xxx version.
