If anyone is interested, the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas has invited me to give a presentation on the history of the Nevada Test Site on Saturday, November 12, at 2:00pm. For those wondering, yes, I am aware that is also the first day of the big air show at Nellis. I couldn't schedule the previous weekend because I am presenting a paper on prehistoric Nevada cave paintings at a symposium in San Diego. The following Saturday, I am tied up with a book signing at Barnes & Noble in Palmdale. The weekend after Thanksgiving was out, and I am also doing a signing at Autobooks-Aerobooks in Burbank on October 29, so my dance card is pretty full at the moment. The Atomic Testing Museum has also scheduled me for another talk next spring. As it stands now, I am scheduled to give a presentation on the design evolution of the Blackbird family of aircraft on May 19, 2017. mark you calendars.
