In Johnsons excellent Book "The Secret War" the German
Navy used what they called "Sumpf" to cover the Coning tower, snorkle and periscope of their Subs. It was a rubber coating that conducted electricity. It made that
part of their Subs. invisable to our airborne Radar. My
brother worked for Magna Coatings in the 70ies. they
made the "iron ball" paint for the SR-71. Stealth is a
fascinating topic and our Govt.sure has "deep pockets"
for reasearch and development.
