I just received a reply to my JFEX FOIA Request today. In one sentence it states there is no scheduled JFEX Exercise (formerly known as MAFEX) scheduled for May 2014. Now I still plan to take that with a grain of salt and continue to look at the NOTAMs for KLSV and KTNX towards the end of the month. JFEX / MAFEX in the past was held on the 3rd Wednesday of May at the KENO Airstrip near Cedar Gate. Last year I went up to KENO on that 3rd Wednesday and it was a bust. Later, I saw the Nellis website posted photos of the exercise which was actually held on Friday, May 31st. Below is a KLSV NOTAM from years past including the frequency for the KENO Airstrip's Forward Air Controller (FAC):
