U2 Causes FAA to Shut Down Airspace over So Cal

An investigative journalist out of LA is saying that last week's crash of FAA systems at LA Center (causing a ground stop of all traffic in So Cal and delays across the Southwest, was caused by a U2 on a "DOD flight plan" transiting the airspace at 60,000 ft.

Apparently the plane was showing up on radar miles below the actual altitude it was flying at, which caused them to shut down the airspace.

Sounds like somebody might have a new ECM toy they forgot to turn off before crossing into populated airspace.
