I'm not sure they'll get to the "no" boom stage, but they may be able to dissipate it so rather than being a 'boom', it'll be more of a 'rumble'. It's interesting science at any rate. I'll try to scan the article - I don't think Joerg would want to publish it here because of copyright laws and because it is getting a little O/T, but give me a few days and I'll be able to email it to those interested.
