The Contractors would go bust if they had to pay for their mistakes which would cause even further delays, I have no doubt that this is a very complex and challenging project. In all it needs to see the three types in the air and operational and getting some orders under the belt to reduce the cost of each aircraft.

In all the F35 as a concept is a good one and it will become a key battle commander of the skies bossing UAV/UCAV's around. It is supposed to be the next F22 in terms of sales but these glitches have to be eradicated to build confidence as currently the F35 destroying defense budgets and not hostile targets.
