I've used some companies like the one greatguess mentions in the past and got very good results. I created an elevation model of some rock formations with some imagery I gathered with one of my drones and got around 5cm resolution. We got that one done on a large 3D printer and it looked real nice.

I haven't thought about making a model of the area but it would be a really neat project. The elevation models I used previously from the USGS National Elevation Dataset would work fine at that scale.
