Joerg already mentioned that "Pyramid" is the nickname for a visual navigation fix. For identification purposes, pilots "squawk" (transmit) a number on their transponder as instructed by air traffic control. There are also special transponder codes for various emergencies, etc.

The conversation was recorded by a journalist and seems to mainly consist of transmissions from the control tower and command post. Glenn never saved a copy of the recording, just the transcript, and he has forgotten who recorded it. He was aware of the fact that he was interfering with a test flight at the time. If I recall correctly, his actions caused the airplanes to divert to TTR. Glenn also managed to blow his one opportunity to possibly see a classified aircraft.
