There has been some discussion here in the forum, and I have been asked in emails: Yes, it appears that Area 51 is affected by the government shutdown. There don't seem to be any Janet flights currently, and the white bus is not operating either. For our readers in the Las Vegas area, George Knapp will be running a story tonight at 6pm on channel 8 KLAS about the layoffs at Area 51 due to the government shutdown.
