I think we should put a humongous laser on a big airplane (how about a 747) and then just fly it near the target and zap the bad guys.... of course you would need to outfit the 747 with an anti-gravity device because laser fuel is so heavy for a 747 to carry. you would have to tune the system very carefully because albert said that light is affected by gravity.
