You have to drive the dirt road toward the east all the way till the end for good AM shots. Training aircraft parked on the east side, e.g. those loaded with live ammunition for Air Warrior exercise, prefer
landing the east runway (21L) and in early morning hours ATC tells them to make "Sunrise Break" (left break) for noise abatement. Then, from the AM spot, you can often get very good shots of those beautifully turning final. I think it's worth driving some miles on the dirt road.
