Saw that news report yesterday........200 right now and 700 in 3-4 years (IIRC).......Airlines paying big money.........But as I recall flying officers get base pay + quarters & rations + flight pay + hazardous duty (if applicable)...........

Others who have been officers/flying officers could help shed some more light on USAF pay vs airline pay.........

Oddly nothing was said about USN/USMC pilot retention....
