So, I don't know if it's a felony or not--the statute doesn't say "felony" or "misdemeanor" anywhere that I saw; but if you can be imprisoned for "not more than one year" and fined some unspecified amount for each violation, it's probably not a good idea. I think it's safe to say any flight into the restricted area, even if it's a UAV under your control or direction, for the purpose of photography would rack up an impressive number of distinct "violations," possibly enough to keep a guy a guest of the American people for the rest of his days. However long that might be.
