in my collection of old stuff i have an F4 stick including the grip. when i saw the picture of the cockpit i recognized the stick grip and just checked. yep, it's exactly like mine which makes it at least 45 years old since i got the one i have in 1968. the design of that thing must have been WAY ahead of its time given it is going into the next generation of advanced stealth fighters. what a joke.
