The Global Hawk can fly/perform a pre-programmed mission, including landing by itself. At least, that is what the "pilot" told me at the Edwards AFB airshow two years ago, subject to my interpretation I suppose. Within controlled airspace, the "pilot" still has to talk to ATC, but I guess at Edwards they pre-empt other flights to let the Global Hawk land autonomously.
