It is unfortunate that the casting people can't or won't do a better job finding people that are a good fit for the part. Lear would have been a perfect fit for a show that I helped with this past weekend, that was so bad that I am not even going to discuss it. Much to my surprise I was introduced as "European UFO Hunter"... Enough said!...
