Ok but this is where i disagree with you. Because if you were paying active duty to guard Groom or any other site it would range from 50 to 60 thousand dollars. Civilians at Groom make a little over $100,000 a year. I know that for a fact. Doesn't matter how i know but thats a fact. So wouldn't you think it would be cheaper for the GOV to pay active duty 60 thousand $'s and spend 10,000 for a TS clearance. The total amount for that one soldier would be $70,000. Thats cheaper than a civi who makes $100,000 plus $10,000 for a TS and that adds up to $110,000. At the end of the day i would say it would come close but i would have to say it still would be cheaper using active duty.
