Stop worrying.

As long as you are on the legal side of the line, they may as well not even exist. They are classic bullies in a way. They may try to intimidate you by driving in your direction aggressively, stopping near you at night and shining a light on you, etc.

But do you know what they'll do if you calmly start walking toward their pickup trucks, with a friendly look on your face as if to ask them "What's the trouble guys?"

They'll run away. They'll go zooming off in their pickup before you can get too close to them. It's almost laughable, some of the videos on youtube of grown men in a panic, driving down Groom Lake Road at high speed to "get away" from the Cammo Dudes.

Just ignore them, they are 100% harmless (as long as you stay on the right side of the boundary, of course).

One other interesting thought that occurred to me while I was out there last week. You get frustrated about not being able to know what's inside the boundaries of the base.......what all of the secrets are? Well the Cammo Dudes barely know any more than YOU do. They can't get near the base either. They drive to work, patrol the borders of the base, many miles from anything important, then go home.

If they tried to get too near the base they themselves would have do deal with the INNER ring of security, which is composed of military guards, as opposed to civilian guards, which is what the Cammo Dudes are. So don't look at them enviously, as if they know all of the secrets. They know next to nothing about what goes on in A51. Just like us :-)
