From what I recall...Glen Cambell who spent many months on and off around the area only had one or two sitings of snakes....I think he covered this as a small topic in his book. I have only visited the surrounding area a few times and I almost ran over one...I won't say exactly where other than it was somewhere between Tikaboo and the Desert Lake. The wheels of my vehicle amazingly just missed catching it as it crossed over a track..I braked when I saw it and thought that I had ran over it..But fortunately its stretched out length had JUST fitted in between the width of the inner wheels... I stopped the vehicle to look at it, and it slithered into the desert shrub...It was a fascinating experience.. I never thought that I would ever see one..
