OT - The bear question again.

Okay, this is perhaps beating a dead horse, but I distinctly recall a few years ago, someone finding what appeared to be bear tracks near the base. It was mentioned briefly here in the forum, then it was gone, and then a few months later the original poster (don't remember who it was, but he was a regular) came back and said that park rangers/wildlife officials had confirmed to him that they were bear tracks.

The general consensus here on the forum was skepticism, at best, and again the subject faded away. I only bring it up (again) because this month, a large black bear was photographed by park rangers at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It seems to me that if bears (however rarely) show up at the Grand Canyon, it's at least plausible that they could be in the Nellis area as well.

The tracks were there, anyway. Thoughts?
