As for hiding things, bear in mind that the hangar is most likely not just for concealing an object, but also for working on it and keeping it out of the hot/dusty environment there in NV. The building has some office/lab space in addition to the hangar space. They park a lot of things outside at A51, and move them whenever they need to be hidden. And they went to a fair amount of effort to build that berm to prevent any DLR'ers from seeing anything from Tikaboo.
