Superbase 1 Nellis AFB Book

Came across a series of books called "Superbase" from Osprey Publishing (1988-1989). A very nice color photo picture book series on many of our major bases from back in the day when the tarmacs on our airbases were crowded with a wide variety of military aircraft. The Nellis book is great, with excellent photos of the base and tarmac from up above, jam packed with Red Flag aircraft. The area just outside the base to the southwest had not been built up at all with no neighborhoods. And there were no structures at all to the south of the runways towards Sunrise Mountain were all the F-16 reventments are. Interesting how so much growth has taken place both on and off the base in such a (reasonably) short period of time. The series also has books on Eglin, Miramar, El Toro, Yuma, Tyndall, Fallon, Edwards, Key West, New Orleans, and many others. Also includes overseas bases such as Bitburg, Kadena, Heyford, Mildenhall, Cold Lake and others. A great series. Look for on Amazon or eBay.
