No, I did not go all the way to Silverbow. I made it about a mile past Stinking Spring, when I realized that I was running out of daylight. Decided to explore the ridge south of the road instead.
Turns out that is a pretty good spot to see the area south and east of TTR, including the west side of Cedar Pass. Here are a few GPS coordinates that you may find useful:
N37.53'48.4"/W116.30'59.9" - Small dirt road south (right), leads 200ft. south to a camp site by a wash
N37.53'47.0"/W116.30'58.4" - Camp site, park here
N37.53'27.8"/W116.30'45.3" - Good view spot on side of ridge
The hike up to the view spot takes about 30 minutes. My preliminary rating: 1/4 Tikaboo max.
