Here is a question for pilots and/or scanner buffs. If you are flying over another state (Utah), would you be in direct contact with your home base (Groom)? I'm trying to decide if I should bother putting the Groom frequencies in a spare bank on my scanner. I should mention that I am about 60 miles from Hill AFB and I don't usually hear much from their aircraft unless they are flying directly over me and are talking. I am just using the antenna that came with the table top scanner.
