The problem with chat is the multiple time zones. You pick a good time for the west coast (say 10PM), and the east coast folks don't like chatting at 1AM. [I often wonder about those people phoning Art Bell at midnight west coast time, which is 3AM on the right coast.] Magoo tried to do some chat, but Aussie time was kind of early west coast time. One thing Joerg might want to do is put the "current ??users online" on the forum page in addition to the start page. I have my browser bookmark set for the forum page, not the main page. Maybe others do the same thing. It might encourage chat. I think the discussion forum works better.
