It was a Meteor the direction it came from in the original shot looks like the SW direction which would be toward the constellations of Orion/Gemini. Not sure when this was filmed but the Geminid annual meteor shower takes place in Dec and up to 50 an hour can be seen.

So lets put a film producer hat on, we go to the desert, skies are perfectly clear, use infra red cameras so the smallest light shows up. You only need to drive the vehicles that took you to your location around the desert to make them look like Cammo's.

OK now get old shots of 51 or take your own does not matter then let the editor get to work on cutting and rearranging the shots. Only problem is one meteor is coming from the SW behind the presenter and the other in the post discussion going N to S and that would be more like Persied (summer). It is very bright and splits on the way down could be space debris.

Poor attempt but seeing the runway all lit up is pretty cool, possibly a Janet coming in?
