Peter, Got me wondering again -- are you aware of any debris from Columbia that would have impacted in that part of Nevada? Is it possible there are some shuttle tiles out there? I remember at the time there was a fairly active search in Iron County Utah for something that (apparently) generated a radar return -- which I remember as possibly being one of the landing gears/tires. I remember talking to Chuck Clark about it, and how he wished he had gotten up that morning to look at Columbia through a telescope and how it had flown fairly close to (just north of?) the base on its return. Is any of that accurate? Have you searched for parts of Columbia out there? Joe
