This is not the kind of guy to make jokes like that. I have a few helium lasers, but haven't tried to target any planes to verify this. Depending on what state you are in, targeting somebody with a laser can get you into trouble.

There was a person who used to zap drivers on I580 with a very powerful laser. One victim was a cop (CHP I think) to managed to pull his cruiser to the side of the road with great dificulty. The laser zapper person got bored with the game and stopped, never to be caught. I580 goes through Livermore, a town where you could probably find lasers in 10% of the homes.

I have made the neighbors cat chase the laser spot, which convinced me that dogs are smarter than cats as no self respecting dog would waste his/her time chasing a spot of light.
