Yes, most modern fighters have IR detectors, but unless someone actually saw him do it and reported the fact, or the fighter pilot actually saw him doing it and was able to pin-point the street and house, then there is really no way they could have known it was him. I suppose the other possibility is that he lived in a house in an area that wasn't heavily built up, so they wouldn't have had many houses to check. Magoo
