Joerg has occasionally mentioned the cost of the images, which is based on the area covered. He has always tried to get the most for his money, making sure the image captures as many of the interesting sites as possible. Obviously, this includes the main base and outlying radar/communications facilities, RCS measurement sites, and so on.

There is good, high-resolution imagery of the Papoose Lake area available ion Google Earth. Joerg could order an image that covers Papoose Lake, but there is no hint in any of the available historic aerial and satellite images of anything at Papoose that would justify the extra expense. There simply seems to have been no activity or construction there.
