Booms yesterday?

I hope I'm following the rules for reposting copyrighted items but here goes. Brian Webbs web site Launch Alert posted a readers question. Copy of letter from http://www.spacearchive.info/newsletter.htm

DID YOU HEAR IT?
A Launch Alert reader sent me the following e-mail regarding a loud
boom he heard late Sunday afternoon:

"Did you happen to hear a loud boom from the sky at about 16:45 today
1/15/2012 ?

I did here at my home in Tujunga Ca.. It was loud enough to make me go
outside for a look see even though I had the feeling that the sound
had come from the sky rather than from the neighborhood. Other
neighbors also came outside to see what happened.

I did some searching but came up with no other reports of the boom.
Then I looked for recent quake activity. Bingo, at the exact same time
micro quakes had been recorded in two places but they were much to far
away to have possibly been felt here. The first one was in the
Hawthorne Nv. area and about a minute and a half later in the area of
The Geysers Ca.. http://www.data.scec.org/recent/recenteqs/Quakes

Could a sonic boom from an aircraft, meteor or another piece of space
junk traveling from east to west have caused those seismic readings ?
This says it does happen:

I called a friend of mine who lives in Oakhurst Ca. which is much
closer to the track between Hawthorne and The Guysers but still to far
away for a person to feel the micro quakes that were recorded there.
He also heard a boom in the sky at the same time.

Given the great quantity of seismic events recorded in our region
every day especially at The Guysers I realize it may well be a
coincidence that we had two recorded events at about the same time but
it does have me wondering.

I know this for sure. Something went boom at about 16:45 today and I
am not the only one who heard it and want's to know what it was. I
also know that I could find out tomorrow that somebody set off an M-80
on the mountain a couple of blocks away and the mystery will be
solved."

Did any of you hear anything? A few of you may have access to seismic
or infrasonic data. Did these sensors detect anything? Finally, did
those of you who work in public safety hear any reports of this event?

Note from me. I live near Oakhurst but must have been down for a nap.
