The problem with the Tikaboo broadcast was not so much the power, but the radios we used. At the time there was no data cell service on Tikaboo, so we had to use HAM radios to relay to Rachel, where someone fed the transmission into an online broadcasting service. The HAM connection was very poor, and during the broadcast it died alltogether. With wireless data serice from Alamo now covering the peak, this would be very easy to do.

As for the difficulty of the hike, I have seen kids in their 30's not make it, and I have seen folks close to 60 make it. It all depends on your shape. I find that a hiking stick helps a lot with the infamous 100 yards of hell.
