Great points Gregos. I am continuing my dialog and asking about posting some daily still shots with the weather info. (Why put an expensive camera up there, if you can't use it? Unless this is another example of government waste.) This is BLM administered public land and available for multiple use. Perhaps we can apply for our own variance...say a "birding" observation post. As for the camera being used to observe visitors, I'm sure there are already numerous, high tech systems performing this function; most we can only imagine.
