Several of our members had asked about the upcoming Roadrunners Reunion, and if the event was open to the public. For those of you interested in the history of the U-2 and A-12 programs and in meeting some of the men who worked on these projects at Area 51, I have great news: Several of the Roadrunners will be taking a trip to Rachel during the Reunion, on Tuesday, October 4, and will be available for questions and autographs at the Little A'Le'Inn. Former A-12 pilot and Roadrunners Historian Frank Murray will be there, as well as Aviation Historian Peter Merlin. This will be an informal event, and a unique opportunity to meet the heroes of the cold war in person. And I certainly hope to meet some of our readers there, and to see some old friends again. There may even be an opportunity for you to get your hands on some truly unique items...

I hear that the command post in Las Vegas, at the Gold Coast Casino, may also be open to those visitors truly interested in the history of the Roadrunners. There will be various historical presentations, exhibits and, of course, plenty of opportunity to meet the Roadrunners. If you are interested, please email me for details.
