Good point about questioning the pursuit of weapons and technology due to the great expense and little potential. If so we should also readily question the even more expensive and nationally useless social experiments that have been enacted over the past couple of years that have completely destabilized our economy! DARPA may have had expensive and questionable programs, but it cannot compare with increasing our national debt by 35% with useless expenditures dictated by a single political party! Let's get real here - while high tech shiney stuff makes easy prey for budget cuts - the real stupidity in spending is deeply dug in social and entitlement programs. Start there my friend.
