I recall once a severe tornado alert at Tinker and every AWACS plane had to di di mao at once. The ones that couldn't scoot had to hunker down in the hangers. That's not uncommon. I saw the same thing with Navy P3's in Bahrain. They all launch at once nose to butt. I got a chance to go back and work on some AWAC's upgrades last Winter but turned it down for a more interesting job. I would like to work on them again.
