Sounds like it could be a JSTAR, it's got a top dorsal bubble, you might want to find a picture and compare. If you want to see a REALLY weird C-135 modification, find a picture of a ARIA EC-135 used for NASA telemetry transfer. It had a huge dropped nose radome that housed a six foot dish. Based them at Patrick AFB during the 70-80's timeframe.

I went to Bill Shepherd's (the first commander of the ISS, and flew on three DoD Shuttle missions
) retirement ceremony from the Navy (he was a SEAL first and formost) at San Diego last week, and got some good digipics. E-mail me on the side if anyone wants a picture.
